5 tips to prevent dry and tired eyes

Tip 1: Drink plenty of water and eat vegetables

Water and vegetables are great friends of the eyes! Drinking plenty of water is a great idea. It's the first thing you should do to stay hydrated, and your whole body will benefit from it.

And... eat vegetables! Indeed, vegetables contain antioxidants from the carotenoid family, which are good for the eyes. These antioxidants: lutein and zeaxanthin are found in greater quantities in green vegetables such as spinach, broccoli, arugula, lettuce, cabbage ... Of course, carrots are always relevant and the reputation of tomatoes is well established! Do not skimp on vegetables and in general, a balanced diet rich in fiber, antioxidants and vitamins will be beneficial for your health and your eyes.

Tip 2: Avoid c!

If the fresh air is good for your whole body, you should know that your eyes do not like draughts at all. The air conditioning in your car and the wind generated by fans in general are factors that contribute to the depletion of the tear film and even bring germs. Wind, if it comes straight at your eyes, will not be a good friend either.

Tip 3: Blink!

Did you know that? It is during blinking that our eyelids mix the different ingredients of the tear film and spread them on the surface of the eye. So the more you blink, the more you moisten your eyes. These small natural movements are therefore extremely important, especially when you use your eyes in front of a screen for example. Long live the wink! ☺

Tip 4: Look far ahead

If you work a lot in front of a screen, you are most likely prone to eye strain. Give your eyes a break. Take a break from your computer and stare at a distant point (at least 20m away for 20 seconds). Repeat this exercise every hour.

Tip 5: Sing in the rain...

Have you noticed? When it rains and you are outside, you feel less discomfort in your eyes than when you are in the office. Whether it's air conditioning in the summer or heating in the winter, both of these factors are harmful to the eye. It is very important to humidify the atmosphere in which you live and work. Indeed, the tear film that protects and moisturizes your eyes is a perfect combination of ingredients whose balance is very fragile. And, if a walk in the pouring rain doesn't tempt you, a good way to moisturize your eyes is to use Innoxa Laboratories' spray for very dry and tired eyes. Its gentle nebulization allows for easy and fearless application on closed or open eyes. On your desk or in your pocket, it will follow you at all times and in all weathers.
